Infectious, Laughter

I don't know what day it is anymore...It seems like this is the only life I know now...
Things have been getting pretty bad around here...We now have to wear masks at all times.
The grown ups have come to the conclusion that there was a massive chemical spill here that must have infected and killed everyone that previously resided here on this island.

It's now been affecting some of us...

Dis is my fren Lila, her's is jus yittle. Now hers is in Quarantine an we not tan play wis her.

Dis is Calli. She was infekid too. I not posa be in here, but hers is mine fren an I wanid a make sure hers was alright.

After being caught in the hospital seeing my friends I was rushed to a bon fire an told to stay there so burn off any infection that may have gotten on me...

Some of my friends and I have still managed to have some fun around, and make mischeif..obviously. We have to have some sense of normalcy about us :D

Me, Poppy, Cryssie, and Kegan finded a secret stash of adult juice in da back of a truck...

Kegan went to lay down but, Me, Poppy and Cryssie fot da  juice tasted great and gived some to Mr Half Zombie Man!!

After some rest (felt really woozy and throwed up a few times too) I snuck out of bed, wrote some letters to some friends and and released them on balloons. I hope they make it to them...

*closes his eyes and hopes upon the stars the wind carries them to his loved ones*

End of day...?

Things are ok...it was a little patchy and a lot has happened since we found out what the noises were.
Not exactly ideal. But we're safe and sound back at the barracks...For now.

We have no idea where they came from. Everyone is on edge and it's making us not want to go out past the barricade we've made...

The adults made us scrounge around the barracks to find things to make weapons. They felt it necessary for us to be able to protect ourselves.
I maked nunchux frum wenches and sticks. I also maked ninja stars from oysters and nails..I hope dis a be enuff!

It's inevitable that we do venture out. There are supplies needed and most importantly, we have to keep a look out for any signs of being rescued.

Some of the adults have taken to dressing like them and standing guard at posts. So they blend in...

Unfortunately, it's inevitable that we do venture out. Supplies are need, and most importantly we have to keep a look at for signs of being rescued. Which seems pretty hopeless at the moment.

Last time I went out things went bad real quick...

Luckily we've developed a buddy system, and there's always adults around (except when there's not)

We survived the attack and got away, just barely though.
I decided to leave some warning on the way back to the barracks to notify anyone who may come this way in the future. I'm not sure if the zombies travel far though..

But it's not always doom and gloom around here...we have story time...which is nice...

Well Journal...I need to go potty and then get some sleep. If you have magic, send help...with cheeseburgers and chocolate and skittles and some of my toys please. Goodnight.

We're not alone here!!!

(I miss real food, and candies, and my toys, and home with my real bed...My dreams are plagued with all things good and normal and safe and warm)...

Waking up and realizing your surroundings, after such pleasant dreams is really hard...
Especially when you fully come to and you hear the grown ups talking of hauling water to the camp.
My initial thoughts are, "How are we supposed to get water here? We don't have car or wagon..."
Welp, I was soon about to find out.

Mr. Alex and Ms. Lucy located more buckets in an old shed somewhere, even though none of us are that big, we still have to carry water buckets back. *sighs*

The walks are always soooooo long. Hopefully we can find a closer water hole!

Oh my gosh, the water is soo heavy!!

We're supposed to carry this all the way back to camp?!?!

After getting back to camp, we sat our buckets down and collapsed on the ground. The buckets we're about as big as we were!! Most of us smaller kids we're dragging them.

******

We had about about 5 minutes of rest before Mr. Landon came rushing over with some news...
He said he had made some spears and found some fishing nets...

So it was back down to the waterfront... *sighs*

Dis was a really nice shirt dat I was tryin to catch!! I not did get it doe..

I felt kinda bad for having to kill animals, but we have to eat to survive...
I catch'd all dem fishes!! By mineself! Mr. Landon teached us how a do it yike profishinols do!

Then came the bad news...we we're going to have to carry these back to camp too!!!!

After being here for so long (at least it feels like since the days seem to be longer and there's always work to do) You grow accustomed to your surrounding. All the weird noises I used to be afraid of  just seem normal, you kind of forget about them.

We decided to try a different route this time, to maybe cut off some walking/carrying time.
That was a BAD idea!!
We turned a corner and we're almost face to face with Zombies!! Real life Zombies!!! They're much scarier than in video games. Luckily for us all the grown ups have been carrying guns with them, since we found them. I figured it was just in case of bears or something...Now this!!

(To be continued)....

Disney Dream | Survival Reality

*Siddy roils around in is bed*--- feels somethings not quite right. It's different, off almost.
(it was just a bad dream)

*He calms his wrestling, rolls onto his back, rubs his eyes and starts to wake up*...

*He stares at the ceiling for a moment taking in his surroundings*
It smells like, old decrepit dirt in here..I really need to clean my....
*he sits up in his bed startled*--it all comes hurling back to him..

None of that was a dream...we didn't make it to Disney!

Being the adventurous little boy that Siddy is, it didn't take him long to climb down from his bunk and explore the Barracks.

Just inside, he overheard some plans of exploration to locate food, water, general safety supplies and to return to the crash site to see if anything could be salvage. As well as setting up an SOS.

We gathered some of our belonging that we were able to salvage directly after the crash, huddle together with a couple adults and head on out...

We come across some crates just around the corner...here we found some ammunition (the adults claimed all that for themselves, Pfft. Typical!!!)

I decided to look behind the big stack of boxes that no one was digging through yet. Here I found a boomerang (awesome!!!) and a crossbow (No frckin way!!) I stash them in my bookbag quickly so no one can claim them for themselves. A kid has to be prepared ya know! I'm not leaving anything to JUST the adults. Orphans have spunk, that's how we survive day to day.

With our arms and bags full, we head back to the barracks to unload and rest up...
On our way back we overhear some animal sounds...

Deer!!! We stumbles across some deer!!

Mr. Landon took action quickly and shot it.
It was the saddest thing I ever saw'd.
He must have seen the pain and shock some of our faces. He proceeded to explain to us that it was a necessary action. We have to eat and this would also provide warmth if we need.

Back at the barrack some of the adults that stayed behind with the other kids made use and built a fire..
It took me all of 2.5 seconds to sit down and get warm...

Things we'rent looking so grim. We told stories, sang some songs and..for the first time ever...I ate deer meet! (Once you get past the hair, it ain't so bad!)

Disney was not just a dream...but Survival is now a reality.

Disney Doesn't Happen... :*(

Our bags are taken and loaded into cargo, we are seated and treated like the little princes and princess' that we are. You can feel the excitement and joy throughout the entire plane. There's chatter coming from every seat as we all talk to our seat mates jubilantly about our plans when we get to Disney..

We are then quieted down while the Captian explains some pretty standard protocol.

The ride is pretty boring, Just some clouds and blueness...

All of sudden you hear the captain over the loud speaker telling us there will be some turbulence (whatever that is). Next thing I know, the plane started shaking and my tummy is flopping everywhere. It's hard to hear anything due to all the loud noises and screaming, I look out the window and just see clouds zipping by really fast and some smoke. Smoke?!

Everything goes black for a little bit...

I open my eyes feeling groggy and awful and sore all over...I look around...

It's hard to take a grip of everything going on. All us kids are running around crying looking for our friends, adults airline crew.Everyone survived the crashed. Most of our luggage is lost in the wreckage. Aside from the cries there are weird noises coming from every direction...

Overhearing the adults discuss a plan of action, they decide it's best to divide the kids into small groups and set off exploring to find help. Or at the very least...some shelter.

not far from the crash site, we come across a fire of some sort to help us dry and get warm...

Some weird gas is coming out from the ground. The grown ups locate some gas masks nearby and pass them out to all the kids...

It's pretty loose...and it hurts my face...but better to be safe, right?

There's noises everywhere, weird groaning and moaning. Shrieks and shrill yelling. We're told to stay close together.

Finally, at the top of a small hill we run into another small group. I over heard the man telling Mr. Alex that they hadn't found anyone but, they did come across this old army barracks. It was moderately clean and had a lot of beds in it for us. They decided to set up camp and was waiting for the others to arrive....

*Siddy rubs his eyes, looks for a bed close to his friends and lays down for a rest while the adults guard the entrances*

The outside world hears of the crash, some parents get together and storm the airline...
